The Superinvestors of Augustusville is an investing blog run by me, Carsten Mueller. Next to my day job, I run Augustusville, a small family office in which I invest the family’s funds in the stock market. This Substack is a logbook for the the family office. I am using it to share and discuss ideas and track the portfolio.

Having benefitted from great investment blogs across the internet, I thought it was time to join the producer’s side and share my thoughts. Most of the ideas posted will resemble real financial positions, so I will have “skin in the game”. I am also happy about any feedback which might help me improve my writing and investing. What fascinated me about financial markets is playing a game which rewards intellectual curiosity and sharp conclusions and where you can always learn something new.

As for myself, I am in my early forties, live in the Cologne area, have a great wife and two magnificient boys. I hold a master degree in business, a CFA charter and have about 16 years of professional experience, half of that on a JPM Fixed Income trading floor and half in the Private Equity department of a Development Financial Institution (DFI).
